Renovation of a mixed-use development in Tupelo, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 5,262-square-foot, one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.

Bid Documents, including Drawings and Specifications, may be examined at the Tupelo City Hall (address above) or at ArchitectureSouth, P.A., 499 Gloster Creek Village, Suite D3, Tupelo, MS 38801. No partial sets of drawings or project manuals will be issued. The work of this project consists of renovation of a 5,262 square foot single story building. The renovation includes front entry facade changes, exterior painting, interior finishes, plumbing, mechanical, lighting and electrical. Some concrete paving work will be required at each of the four exterior entrances. Each bid submitted must be marked "Dot Cooper Kelly Building Renovation - #2024-053PR". Any bid in excess of $50,000 must contain on the outside of the envelope the contractor's current certificate of responsibility number, or if submitted electronically, must be marked in the column CL/CR #. No bid shall be opened or considered unless this number appears on the outside of the envelope, included in the column CL/CR # electronically, or unless a statement is included indicating that the bid enclosed does not exceed $50,000. A satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an accepted Surety, a certified check, or bank draft payable to the City of Tupelo, Mississippi, on negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), shall be submitted with each bid in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. In the letting of public contracts, preference shall be given to resident contractors, and a nonresident bidder domiciled in a state having laws granting preference to local contractors shall be awarded Mississippi public contracts only on the same basis as the nonresident bidder's state awards contracts to Mississippi contractors bidding under similar circumstances; and resident contractors actually domiciled in Mississippi, be they corporate, individuals, or partnerships, are to be granted preference over nonresidents in awarding of contracts in the same manner and to the same extent as provided by the laws of the state of domicile of the nonresident. When a nonresident contractor submits a bid for a public project, he shall attach thereto a copy of his resident state's current law pertaining to such state's treatment of nonresident contractors. Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs. The City of Tupelo is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and hereby notifies all Bidders will be afforded the full opportunities to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual preference, marital or veteran status, or any other legally protected status in consideration for an award. Bids may be held up to 90 days from the date of opening for review of bids and qualifications of bidders prior to Contract award. The City of Tupelo, MS reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.
