Renovation of a water / sewer project in Schaumburg, Illinois. Design plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
As of October 16, 2025, design is underway. Bidding will likely take place in 2026, but an exact timeline has not been determined. The Northwest Suburban Municipal Joint Action Water Agency (Agency) hereby solicits proposals from qualified firms for professional services relative to the replacement of a standby generator at the Agency's Streamwood Booster Station. The Agency obtains treated lake water from the City of Chicago at the Main Pump Station near the eastern boundary of O'Hare International Airport. From the Main Pump Station, the Agency's transmission mains, booster stations, and delivery stations extend west and northwest in a 55-mile network providing water service to over 500,000 consumers in seven (7) Member municipalities. The Agency is seeking a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from qualified engineering firms for the design, bid, and/or construction engineering services of a replacement emergency power system at the Streamwood Booster Station located at 1101 East Schaumburg Road, Streamwood, IL 60107.
