All requests for such interpretations must be made in writing addressed to Carl D. McConnell, P.E., Project Engineer, 3014 Avenue I, Rosenberg, Texas 77471, E-mail: cdmcconnell@kaluzainc.com not less than seven (7) calendar days before the Bid opening A bid bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, issued by an acceptable surety, shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to City of Needville or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The deadline to ask questions is 8/30/2024 5:00 PM CDT. City of Needville reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. The award will be made to the responsible bidder submitting the lowest acceptable bid. Bids may be held by City of Needville for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. PROJECT MUST BE SUBSTANTIALLY COMPLETE BY NOVEMBER 1, 2026 Time is of the essence for this contract. The Contractor shall commence work within ten (10) days after the day written notice to do so is given him and shall pursue the work to its completion within the calendar days specified in the Bid Proposal. The study reported herein is an investigation of the subsurface soil conditions at the site of the City of Needville Water Treatment Plant Rehab, Phase I, to be located north of the intersection of F.M. 360 East and Richmond Street in Needville, Fort Bend County, Texas (Key Map 684 W).
