Carson City is accepting sealed bids for all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the Public Works Building B Restroom Remodel Project. The project includes remodeling existing toilet rooms in the Public Works Administrative Building B. Approximately 380 square feet in Building B is to be remodeled to accommodate men's and women's restrooms. Work includes selective demolition, minor structural modifications, interior wood framing, new toilet fixtures, flooring and painting, miscellaneous related mechanical, plumbing and electrical work, modifications to fire sprinkler and alarm systems, and other work as indicated in the Bid Documents. Sealed bids must be submitted in accordance with the bid documents, drawings and plans, specifications, and special conditions related hereto. The project includes remodeling existing toilet rooms in the Public Works Administrative Building B. Approximately 380 square feet in Building B is to be remodeled to accommodate men's and women's restrooms. Carson City has determined that all bidders shall be licensed by the State of Nevada to do the type and value of work contemplated in this project. The successful bidder shall possess a valid and applicable contractor's license issued by the Nevada State Contractors Board under the provisions of Chapter 624 of Nevada Revised Statutes, at the time of submitting its bid. PRICES must be quoted FOB Carson City, Nevada and are valid for sixty (60) calendar days after the BID OPENING There are no Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)/Small Business Enterprise (SBE) program goals for this procurement. However, the City, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations Part 26, hereby notifies all bidders and proposers that it shall affirmatively ensure that in regard to any contract entered into, certified DBE/SBE firms shall be afforded full opportunity to submit bids and proposals in response to our invitation and shall not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability or national origin in consideration for an award. Although there is no contract-specific goal associated, the City encourages bidders to make the same effort to ensure nondiscrimination in the award and administration of subcontracts, to help remove barriers to the participation of DBEs/SBEs, and to assist in the development of firms that can compete successfully in the marketplace outside the DBE/SBE program.
