The Town of Morrisville, NC (hereinafter referred to as the "Town") is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors for the purpose as described below: Removal and replacement of the existing roof materials on two flat roofs on the Morrisville Public Safety Building located at 260 Town Hall Drive, Morrisville, NC 27560. Scope of Work: The roof on the Public Safety building is a single ply EPDM system that is approximately 25 years old. In 2016, it was coated with a garland white knight plus system in an attempt to get another 5 - 7 years out of it. The roof on the north side of the building measures approximately 3,850 square feet. On the south side, the roof has an area of approximately 2,100 square feet. Back in 2016, these two flat roofs were coated with a garland white knight plus system to provide more time before replacement. The coating is holding up on one section but on the other section, it is peeling due ponding water and constant AC drip. What you are bidding on is the cost of: o Tearing off existing membrane and metal coping and dispose of properly. o Remove all existing insulation and install new with a rating of at least R-30. o Installing cover board - glass-mat-faced gypsum panel, primed, ASTM C1177/C1177M, with a thickness of 1/2 inch (12 mm.). o Install membrane and new 24 G steel copings. o Install flexible walkways with factory-formed, nonporous, heavy-duty, slipresisting, surface-textured walkway pads, approximately 3/16" thick and acceptable to roofing system manufacturer with a size of approximately 36 by 60 inches of color to contrast with roof membrane at the following locations: o Perimeter of each rooftop HVAC unit o Between each HVAC rooftop unit location, creating a continuous path connecting rooftop unit locations o Around top of roof access ladders o Between roof access ladder and each rooftop unit location or path connecting rooftop unit locations o As required by roof membrane manufacturer's warranty requirements.
