Site work for a civil project in Chesnee, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Division 1 - Installation of approximately 31,000 linear feet of new 3-inch water mains and related appurtenances. Division 2 - Upgrades to Liberty PS to include new pump, piping, electrical and standby generator and Rainbow Lake PS to include electrical and new standby generator. Division 3 - Construction of new 500,000 gallon elevated storage tank, site work, piping and related appurtenances. The Project includes the following Work: Contract 1, (Areas 1-3): Areas 1-3 include the installation of approximately 31,000-linear feet of new 3- inch PVC waterlines, valves, blowoff assemblies, hydrants, road bores, system connections, and related appurtenances. Contract 2 (Areas 4 & 5): Area 4, Liberty Pump Station, includes the replacement of an existing pump with a new pump of the same size and capacity, modifications to an existing pump control valve, installation of a new stand-by, electrical generator, installation of a new automatic transfer switch, and various electrical upgrades. Area 5, Rainbow Lake Pump Station, includes the installation of a new standby electrical generator, automatic transfer switch, and upgrades to various electrical components. Contract 3, (Areas 6 & 7): Area 6, existing Mayo Tank, includesthe demolition and removal of the existing 100,000-gallon, elevated water storage tank, valve vaults, site fence, foundations, and appurtenances. Area 7, new Mayo Water Tank, includes the construction of a new 500,000-gallon, elevated water storage tank, installation of approximately 300-LF of new 12-inch DIP water main, installation of a new altitude valve and vault, construction of site improvements, and installation of all related appurtenances. 1. Contract 1 - Waterline Improvements a. Area 1 - Peach Valley Water System Improvements b. Area 2 - Cherokee Springs Water System Improvements c. Area 3 - Chesnee Water System Improvements 2. Contract 2 - Pump Station Improvements a. Area 4 - Liberty Pump Station b. Area 5 - Rainbow Lake Pump Station 3. Contract 3 - Elevated Water Storage Tank Improvements a. Area 6 - Existing Mayo Elevated Water Storage Tank Demolition b. Area 7 - New Mayo Elevated Water Storage Tank a. Area 01 - Peach Valley Water System Improvements, Area 02 - Cherokee Springs Water System Improvements, and Area 03 - Chesnee Water System Improvements 1) Installation of 29,800 linear feet of 3-inch PVC waterlines. 2) Installation of multiple connections to the existing water distribution system. 3) Installation of isolation valves, manual air release valves, and blowoff assemblies. 4) Installation of fire hydrant assemblies. 5) Installation of steel casing pipe by jack and bore methods at road crossings. 6) Installation of waterlines under streams by horizontal directional drilling methods. 7) Installation and maintenance of temporary erosion and sediment control measures. 8) Installation and maintenance of temporary traffic control measures. 9) Restoration and maintenance of areas disturbed by construction. 10) Establishment of permanent vegetive cover. 2. Contract 2 - Pump Station Improvements a. Area 04 - Liberty Pump Station 1) Installation of one (1) concrete equipment pad. 2) Installation of one (1) diesel-driven electrical generator, new automatic transfer switch, and installation of associated conduit and wiring. 3) Removal of the existing manual transfer switch. 4) Removal and replacement of one (1) horizontal split case booster pump. 5) Piping modifications to accommodate replacement booster pump. 6) Removal and replacement of existing pump control valves with new slant disc check valves. 7) Removal of existing common header check valve and replacement with a spool piece. 8) Modifications to existing SCADA system. 9) Removal and replacement of existing reduced voltage starters with new variable frequency drives. 10) Installation of miscellaneous electrical upgrades. 11) Installation of one (1) door to the existing building. 12) Installation and maintenance of temporary erosion and sediment control measures. b. Area 05 - Rainbow Lake Pump Station 1) Installation of one (1) concrete equipment pad. 2) Installation of one (1) diesel-driven electrical generator, new automatic transfer switch, and the installation of associated conduit and wiring. 3) Removal of the existing manual transfer switch. 4) Modifications to existing SCADA system 5) Installation and maintenance of temporary erosion and sediment control measures. 3. Contract 3 - Elevated Water Storage Tank Improvements a. Area 06 - Existing Mayo Elevated Water Tank Demolition 1) Complete demolition of the existing 100,000-gallon, steel, multi-column, elevated water storage tank. 2) Complete demolition and decommissioning of site piping and related appurtenances. 3) Installation and maintenance of temporary erosion and sediment control measures. 4) Removal and reinstallation of the existing RTU and enclosure at the new Mayo Tank location. 5) Deliver to LCF all items designated for salvage. 6) Restoration and maintenance of areas disturbed by construction. b. Area 07 - New Mayo Elevated Water Storage Tank 1) Design, furnish and erect a new 0.5 MG, steel, multi-column, elevated water storage tank. 2) Design and construct pile supported tank foundation. 3) Install 300-linear feet of 12-inch DIP waterlines. 4) Install isolation valves, altitude valves, precast utility structures, and all related appurtenances. 5) Construct various site improvements, such as the access drive and security fencing. 6) Install and maintain temporary erosion and sediment control measures. 7) Install and maintain of temporary traffic control measures. 8) Restore and maintain areas disturbed by construction.
