Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Millbrae, California. Working plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Bid is Canceled. The work to be performed under this contract consists of the following major items of work as listed below and as further described in the solicitation documents: - Sidewalk Repair of a total of 2,070 sidewalk uplifts (or 3,012 in-ft) with uplift dimensions of 1/2 " (minimum) to 2" (maximum) within the city of Millbrae using sawcutting methods in Zones 2 and 6 (see attached map) - Assessment and documentation survey of sidewalk panels, curb ramps, curbs, and gutters in Zones 5 and 9 to assess potential tripping hazards. Provide report that lists each location with identifying features such as photos, measurements, and square foot amount for replacement. - Input of all repair and inspection data into ArcGIS system - Manage repair database in ArcGIS Bidder shall provide Bidder's Proposal, Bid Security/Bond, Statement of Experience and Qualifications, and Non-Collusion Affidavit as identified in these Contract Documents. Each bidder shall also submit with his/her bid, the names, addresses, portion of work, license numbers and quotations of all subcontractors, if any, upon which the proposal is based as specified in Section G2.08 of the General Conditions. A certified check or corporate surety bond of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid for the total cost of the project must accompany each proposal. Bidders' attention is directed to the Special Provisions of the Contract Documents which require the Contractor, to whom the contract for the work is awarded, to file with the City Clerk at the time of executing said contract, a Payment Bond and Performance Bond, in the amount of 100% of the contract amount, meeting all requirements of said Contract Documents and approved by the City Attorney. Time of Completion shall be Sixty (60) working days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages for failure to complete the work within the specified time are specified in the Contract Documents. The work is "public works" as defined by law. The general prevailing rates of per diem wages and the general prevailing rates for regular (straight) time, holiday, and overtime work in San Mateo County for each craft, classification, and type of worker needed to execute the Contract shall be as set forth in the current General Prevailing Wage Determinations made by the Director of Industrial Relations pursuant to California Labor Code Part 7, Chapter 1, Article 2, Sections 1770, 1773, and 1773.1 and any amendments thereof. The current General Prevailing Wage Determinations are incorporated into the Contract and are available at the California Department of Industrial Relations' website or upon request from the City The award (if an award is made) will be made as provided in the Proposal. The award shall be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, provided that if the City believes that the public interest will be best served by accepting other than the lowest bid, it shall have the authority to accept the bid that will best serve the public interest. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening thereof. All bids shall remain valid for that period of time. The Millbrae City Council reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, alternate bids, or unit prices and/or waive any irregularities in any bid received. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid on a bid proposal or awarded a contract for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 at the time of bid.
