The Housing Authority of the City of Vancouver (VHA) is issuing this Request for Proposals with the intention of awarding a contract for the purchase of general contracting services for our Hazelwood apartments property, in accordance with RCW 39.26. A Contract may be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible proposer. The VHA reserves the right to amend and modify this competitive solicitation. Hazelwood Apartments are a set of two (2), single-story quadraplexes built in 1971, with a small, concrete parking lot separating the two buildings. The intent of this project is to renovate and refresh the interior of six (6) apartments: renovate one unit into a community room and offices; one unit into an ADA accessible unit; and add exterior accessibility and other minor upgrades. Owner anticipates that the Work will begin early November 2024. A bid bond is required for any bids over $250,000 and may be required for bids of a lesser amount based on funding requirements. Unless otherwise stated within the solicitation, Bidder shall submit with their bid a bid guarantee equivalent to 5% of the bid price if their bid exceeds $250,000. Performance and payment bonds (100%) are required.
