Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA) is accepting sealed bids for all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required for the full rehabilitation of three existing welded steel potable water tanks in the TMWA distribution system--Reno Highlands 1 is a 2.2-million-gallon tank; STMGID 2 is a 1.0-million-gallon tank; and Horizon Hills 2 is a 1.43-million-gallon tank. Work on these tanks will require selective demolition; steel fabrication; modifications to meet NAC requirements; blasting and coating; modifications of the Horizon Hills 2 tank check valve vault; and electrical and controls work, including new electrical service at Reno Highlands and Horizon Hills. Additionally, limited modifications are required for the Horizon Hills 1 tank, adjacent to the Horizon Hills 2 tank. The work includes replacement of the tank overflow standpipe and discharge piping; installation of new conduit; associated tank coating repairs; as well as vault lid replacement and electrical and controls improvements. This Project is deemed a Horizontal Construction Project. Each Bidder's proposal must be accompanied by a copy of a cashier's check made payable to TMWA or Bid Bond acceptable to TMWA in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Bidder's base Bid Proposal.
