Estimate: $900,000.00 - $1,000,000.00 Improvements and modifications to the City of Mineola's Wastewater Treatment Plant shall include the following: Construction of a septic receiving station as shown in the plans and specified herein. Project includes installation of septic receiving equipment, containment structure, grading, paving, fencing, site piping, and electrical improvements required for a complete and operational septic receiving station. Contract Time: 240 Days Liquidated Damages: $500/ day Question Deadline 09/03/2024 Please submit questions for the project 7 days prior to bid opening through online A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid (for those contracts that exceed $100,000). A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Mineola or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The City of Mineola reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. The City Council may award the bid that presents the best value for the City pursuant to Gov't Code Section 2269.055 using the criteria set forth herein. In determining best value for the City, the City Council shall consider: (1) the price; (2) the reputation and experience of the Contractor; (3) the quality of the Contractor's services; (4) the impact on the ability of the City to comply with rules relating to historically underutilized businesses; (5) the Contractor's safety record; (6) the Contractor's proposed personnel; (7) whether the Contractor's financial capability is appropriate to the size and scope of the project; and (8) the Contractor's past relationship with the City. Bids may be held by the City of Mineola for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
