The Authority aims to create a forward-looking and comprehensive strategy to manage improvements to our sewer system over future years. As a growing regional utility, the Authority aims to ensure that the sanitary collection system not only complies with local, state, and federal regulations, but also has the capacity to support the projected growth and the region's economic development, community growth and sustainability objectives for the future. Therefore, it is important for the Authority to accurately assess the current collection system's performance, to predict future sewer infrastructure needs and to allocate capital investment for planned system rehabilitation and replacement, system expansion, effective operation and maintenance measures to extend existing asset life and treatment facility upgrades. Last Day for Inquires August 16, 2024 Response to all questions published by 5 pm EST, August 19, 2024. Questions outside the pre-proposal meeting shall be email to Joyce Zhu at ni.zhu@westernvawater.org. Effective contract start date (tentative) October 11, 2024. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. Pre bid meeting description: The pre-proposal conference will be held at the Board Conference Room on the second floor of the Western Virginia Water Authority building located at 601 S Jefferson St, Roanoke.
