Smith County desires to engage a qualified and experienced firm to prepare documentation and provide services for Construction Material Testing for the New Smith County Courthouse. Smith County, Texas is soliciting a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from firms that are interested in providing construction materials testing services during construction of the New Smith County Courthouse. The New Smith County Courthouse will consist of a seven-story building. The estimated project duration is about two (2) years. Services are expected to begin immediately after contract is executed. Services will include, but not limited to shallow and deep foundation installation observation, concrete testing, reinforcing steel placement observation, mortar-grout inspection, structural steel inspection, structural grout testing, and weld examinations. Smith County, Texas may have other projects that will require the services of this RFQ during the term of the agreement. The County is soliciting a Request for Qualifications from firms that can adequately demonstrate they have the resources, experience, and qualifications to provide the County with Construction Materials Testing Services on an as-needed basis. All construction elements and any recommendations must be all applicable to State, Federal, and Local laws and regulations. It is understood that Smith County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all responses for any or all services covered in this request and to waive any informalities or defects in responses or to accept such response as it deems in the best interest of Smith County.
