Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Caldwell, New Jersey. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Borough of Caldwell is accepting sealed proposals for professional survey and engineering design services for the Reconstruction of Ella Road, Essex Road, Park Lane and Seymour Street (Approx. length of all streets 2,300 linear feet). All signage and striping shall be in accordance with Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) 2009 Revision 3. Land Surveying services shall include a topographic survey (Plan & Profile) which extends a minimum of 10 feet beyond the right-of-way (Tax Map) in each direction, and 25 feet beyond the extended curbline at each intersection in each direction. The horizontal datum of the survey shall be NJSPC NAD83 and the vertical datum shall be NAVD88. Temporary/permanent establishment of the centerline and right of way is not required. The plan scale shall be no greater than 1" = 30 foot. Topographic information must include but not be limited to the following; All driveways, walks, walls, utility poles, guy anchor(s), wires, hydrants, valves, trees, signage, landscaping, underground sprinklers and low voltage ground lighting, top and bottom of curb elevations, storm inlet(s) grate elevations, pipe sizes & invert elevations, sanitary manhole(s) rim elevations, pipe sizes & invert elevations, cleanouts, roof and sump pump discharge lines which discharge within 10 feet of the right of way and penetrate through the curb (Invert). All existing utilities located above and below the surface of the ground shall be located as well. Plan must also include cross sections (Elev's only) taken at 50-foot intervals and at the centerline intersection of each driveway, and any other topographic feature which may be required in order to complete the roadway design which is not included in this list. An electronic file (AutoCAD rel. 2004) of the existing topographic survey & profile of each of the roadways which include the information described above shall be required as part of the deliverables to the Borough along with an electronic copy of all final design plans which are submitted to the NJDOT for review and approval. Major Roadway Reconstruction Items shall include but not limited to; Removal of all concrete curbing and installation of new granite block curbing. Milling/repaving of up to 3 inches of existing roadway and partial full depth roadway reconstruction to firm compacted subgrade where required. Concrete/bituminous driveway apron removal and replacement, restoration of affected portions of intersecting driveways. Storm sewer inlet and manhole repairs/reconstruction with replacement of heads and grates if and where required. Sanitary sewer manhole repairs/reconstruction and replacement of existing frames/rims/covers with locking watertight covers if and where required. Video inspection and cleaning of all storm and sanitary sewer lines, and recommendations for repair/replacement if and where required. All CCTV videos and reports shall be delivered to the Borough Engineer. Traffic line striping including all stop bars, and crosswalks. Signage as required, Removal and replacement of all curb ramps along County and Municipal Right of Way within the project area. Site restoration including sod and/or seeding of lawn areas. Removal of any/all Borough shade trees which are dead, dying, diseased, hazardous or those which are causing damage to the public sidewalk and or curbing. Trees scheduled for removal are not to be replaced. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
