Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Surprise, Arizona. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The City of Surprise ("City") is seeking a qualified Traffic Signal Contractor to lead the Construction of two pedestrian HAWK signals at the intersections of Bullard Avenue & Buck O'Neil Way and Parkview Place & The City of Surprise Youth Baseball Complex Parking Lot, which are generally located in proximity to each other to allow for the construction of both HAWK signals to be constructed simultaneously. In accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes Title 34, Section 34-603, it is the intent of the City to award the construction of both signals under one solicitation, with a single pre-construction services contract, and a single construction services contract. Construction of both signals will occur simultaneously and meet the requirements of A.R.S. to be under construction within 30 months of issuance of the first resulting contract from the solicitation. Each of these pedestrian HAWK signals will provide a protected pedestrian crosswalk of Bullard Avenue and Parkview Place and provide for increased safety for pedestrian traffic in the areas, respectively. Anticipated Contract Award September 30, 2024 It is anticipated the CMAR contractor will be brought on board at about 60% design, or earlier. The City of Surprise reserves the right to retain all SOQs submitted and to use any ideas in a SOQ regardless whether the SOQ is selected. Submission of a SOQ indicates acceptance by the firm of the conditions contained in this Request for Qualifications, unless clearly and specifically noted in the SOQ submitted, and confirmed in the contract between the City of Surprise and the firm selected. Total project budget: The project budgets are as follows: Bullard Ave & Buck O'Neil Way - $350,000 Parkview Place & Youth Baseball Complex - $350,000 This project is to construct two new HAWK Pedestrian signal crossings. Planned date of construction start: October 2024 Planned date of construction completion: November 2024
