Site work and new construction of a clubhouse / community center in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 20,000-square-foot clubhouse / community center; and for site work for a clubhouse / community center.
Construction of a new recreation centre at the corner of Warde Avenue and Evelyne Reese Boulevard. TIMELINE: An RFP has been issued by the owner for a Feasibility Study. The awarded proponent will: Assessment of recreation needs/interests in the community that is informed by high-level inventory of nearby facilities/amenities, demographics, public/stakeholder engagement, etc. Public engagement process - anticipating there will be two phases with the first phase focused on surveying community need/interest in various types of activities/amenities. The first phase being undertaken by City of Winnipeg staff and launched in fall 2024. The Second phase by the proponent will be to gather feedback on the proposed concept(s). Define space program, site assessment and analysis, design options developed (including site survey and geotechnical analysis of development site). Recommended concept plan for the site and the facility. Obtain a Class 4 Cost Estimate for the recommended concept Financial Pro-Forma that assesses the potential revenues and operating costs for the facility The design process will require regular project meetings with City of Winnipeg staff, and may include representatives of Southdale Community Centre. The Consultant shall meet the requirements of the Citys Building and General Construction Industry - Class of Estimate Deliverables Maturity Assessment Checklist" template for the Class 4 Cost Estimates (see Appendix A). *The funds available for this Contract are $200,000 Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
