The Kent County Purchasing Division is soliciting bids for Hydro Excavating Services for the City of East Grand Rapids. See attached East Grand Rapids Specification and Bid Form. The Bid Form must be submitted with the vendor's response. The City has approximately 1,774 water service shutoff boxes to be hydro vac excavated over the next two years. The completion date for this contract is August 1, 2026. Each construction contract over $50,000 must be accompanied by a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each payable to the Owner (City of East Grand Rapids) and each in the amount of 100% of the contract price with a corporate surety approved by the funding agency, for the faithful performance of the contract. Question Deadline 09/16/2024 at 2:00 PM ET Any and all communication regarding this Solicitation shall be on the Kent County Purchasing Division Inquiry Blog via the online page or during pre-proposal meetings. This Solicitation is distributed by Kent County for the benefit of the named local agency and County registered bidders through distribution of this request. The Kent County Purchasing Division will assist but does not authenticate the Solicitation documents or award processes for the Solicitation. Kent County reserves the right to determine the response format or not respond, at its sole discretion. The City of East Grand Rapids reserves the right to reject or accept any proposal or to waive any irregularities in any proposal deemed to be in the best interest of the City of East Grand Rapids.
