Installation of a new standby generator system for Noroton Fire Department Disconnect existing indoor diesel backup generator system and all associated parts and components. Supply, deliver, install, connect, and test replacement standby generator, outside of the building, to run off natural gas, transfer switch, and all associated parts and components to provide auxiliary power to the Norton Fire Department in the event of a power outage. The intent of these specifications is to install a new standby generator system at the Noroton Fire Department located at 1873 Boston Post Road, Darien, CT. Included in the scope of this project is disconnection of the existing indoor diesel backup generator and replacing it by supplying and installing a new natural gaspowered standby generator in a mutually agreed upon location outside of the building, that provides auxiliary power to Noroton Fire Department's building in the event of a loss of power situation. The Town reserves the right to reject all bids in whole or in part and to waive technical defects, irregularities, and omissions if the best interests of the Town are served. The Town of Darien reserves the right to require a bidder to furnish satisfactory evidence of his ability to furnish the materials and work upon which his bid is based. All work shall be done by experienced qualified personnel. Any work not in accordance with these specifications shall be corrected at the Contractor's expense. No bid bond is required.
