Renovation of a multi-residential development in College Park, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

The Housing Authority of the City of College Park is requesting proposals for the purpose of selecting a qualified Elevator Company to modernize two existing elevators . Salary Range no minimum salary specified - no maximum salary specified PROJECT DESCRIPTION HACCP is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to modernize the two (2) elevators within the building. The work to be performed under this contract consists of furnishing all labor, insurance, materials and equipment specified in the Scope of Service section of the RFP. HACCP is seeking a qualified elevator contractor to modernize the two (2) elevators in operation located at 9014 Rhode Island Ave. College Park Maryland. The overall goal of the project is to bring the elevators, machine room, pit, and associated structures up to code. The proposals should include work in the following areas: Elevator Systems o Modernization of elevator cabs, equipment, call stations, and components to establish a code-compliant system o Re-use existing governor and machine o Hoist-way and Pit o Provide masonry patching and fire-stopping as required to meet code o Modify pit ladders as needed to meet code o Furnish and install a new screen on the existing hoist-way louver located at the top of the shaft. o Furnish and install three new 4-foot vapor proof LED light fixtures in each pit to provide 10-foot candles as required per code. o Furnish and install one new GFCI outlet in each pit. o Provide new 120V outlet located 4+' from the pit floor for the sump pump power. This new outlet should be fed from the emergency panel located in the main electrical room. o Machine Room o Provide masonry patching and fire-stopping as required to meet code o Demolish and remove existing 3'x3' louver, including demo and make-safe of electrical components. Patch opening. o Demolish and remove existing Fujitsu split system, including electrical components. o Furnish and install one 3-ton split system wall mounted heat pump fed from an emergency power source. The outdoor condenser unit should be mounted on wall brackets at roof level. Furnish and install condensate drain lines from indoor unit to the outside of the building. o Demolish and remove all non-compliant electrical equipment, disconnects, lights, outlets, conduit, etc. o Furnish and install new code compliant electrical equipment, disconnects, lights, outlets, conduit, etc. Include connections to emergency power panels and generator as required. Note that all work shall be phased to mainttain one functional elevator at all times. Question Deadline 09/09/2024 at 4:00 PM ET
