The Jefferson County Commission (the County) Department of Community Services is seeking general contractors who are in compliance with Alabama Code 34-14A1, et seq to provide rehabilitation of residential dwellings throughout Jefferson County. There are currently five (5) cases scheduled for rehabilitation. Any contract resulting from this ITB will become effective upon bid award approval of the Jefferson County Commission, and a purchase order is issued. The Jefferson County Commission will offer a six (6) months contract from the date after a PO is issued unless an extension of time has been approved by the Office of Community Services. If you are required by any regulatory agency to maintain professional license or certification to provide any product and/or service solicited under this ITB, the County reserves the right to require you to provide documentation of your current license and/or certification before considering your Bid and/or before awarding a contract. Alabama law requires contractors to possess an Alabama Home Builders License for any work performed over the value of $10,000.00. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or any part of any bid, and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bid.
