A timeline for award has not yet been established.* 2024 HVAC Replacement Project The Hohenwald Housing Authority is requesting bids for the installation of new HVAC systems at 16 dwelling units The scope of work generally consists ofthe removal & installation of new air conditioning coils, thermostats, furnaces, condensing units, R/A grills, condensation pumps, and miscellaneous electrical work. Attention is called to the fact that no less than the stated minimum salaries and wages must be paid on this project. The Contract will be subject to the "Section 3" Clause, calling for utilization of low-income businesses and individuals from the project area where feasible. The Contract is also subject to all federal, state and local civil rights, safety, labor and bidding/contracting requirements. All bidders must be licensed Contractors as required by the Contractors Licensing Act of 1994 (TCA Title 62, Chapter 6) of the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee. For contracts of $25,000 or more, the law requires the general contractor to list its license information of the outside of the bid envelope with the Name as licensed, License Number, Expiration Date and the Classification applying to the bid. In the case of joint ventures, this information must be provided by each party submitting the bid. All subcontracts relating to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC in the amount of $25,000.00 or more, or masonry subcontracts exceeding $100,000, require the general contractor to list the subcontractor and their respective state license number on the outside of the Bid Envelope. If the subcontract does not exceed $25,000.00 for the above-mentioned categories, the general contractor must certify to this effect on the outside of the Bid Envelope. Failure to do so will disqualify the prime bidder. Only one contractor may be listed for each classification. Each Bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount of 5% of the bid. The Hohenwald Housing Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days of the bid opening. The project consists ofthe removal/replacement of 20 natural gas split systems as follows: (12) 1.5 ton units, (5) 2 ton units, (2) 2.5 ton units and (1) 3.5 ton unit, as well as the replacement of (1) 5 ton gas package system. AND, the removal/replacement of(5) heat pump split systems, each at 1.5 tons (with aux. heat). Total systems to be replaced = 26.
