Q&A: Robert Poirier at rob@mcneileng.com Contract Completion Time: Bidder submits this proposal with the understanding that all the work of the Contract shall be Substantially Completed by November 31, 2024 unless an alternate date is provided by the town in writing. No bidder may withdraw his proposal for a period of thirty days after the date set for the opening thereof. Bidders must submit evidence to the Owner 3 days prior to the bid opening that the bidder is licensed to perform work within the State and is capable of providing all bonds required by the bid documents. The owner reserves the right to accept any or to reject any or all proposals in whole or in part or waive any informality in a proposal. 3. Bid Proposals Before submitting a Bid Proposal, each bidder shall carefully examine the Contract Documents; shall visit the site of the Work; shall fully inform themselves as to all existing conditions and limitations; and shall include in the Proposal the cost of all items required by the Contract Documents. If the bidder observes that portions of the Contract Documents are at variance with applicable laws, building codes, rules, regulations or contain obvious erroneous or uncoordinated information, the bidder shall promptly notify the Engineer and the necessary changes shall be accomplished by Addendum. The Proposal, bearing original signatures, must be typed or handwritten in ink on the Form of Proposal and submitted in a sealed envelope at the location specified by the Invitation to Bid prior to the time designated. 4. Contract and Bond The Contractor's Agreement will be in the form bound in the Bid Manual. The successful bidder, simultaneously with the execution of the Contract Agreement, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond bearing original signatures. The Performance Bond shall be for an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum and secured from a company that meets the requirements specified in the requisite forms. The Performance Bond needs to be maintained through the duration of the oneyear warranty. 5. Warranty The Contractor will provide a one-year warranty to the Owner to cover all improvements associated with this project. The warranty will start at Final Completion of the project as determined by the Engineer.
