Bidders questions shall be submitted no later than 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday September 4th, 2024 The District will forward written clarifications to all prime contract Bidders in the form of Addenda posted by no later than 10:00 a.m. on September 6th, 2024 No bid will be considered unless it is accompanied by Cashiers Check, Certified Check or Bid Bond from a surety authorized to do business in California for ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, Contractor, before beginning the Work, shall file a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond with District, each made payable to District. These bonds shall be issued by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of California and shall be maintained during the entire life of the Contract at the expense of Contractor. Each bond shall be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract. Liquidated damages may be assessed against Contractor in accordance with Article 14 of the General Conditions and Section 00 73 00, Special Provisions, in the amount of $2,000.00 per calendar day if Contractor fails to complete the Work within the Contract Time. The District reserves the right to waive any informality or irregularity in any Proposal.
