This is a summary of the proposed Work: Westbound The scope of work for Westbound includes but is not limited to a 1,746-foot long 8-foot wide asphalt trail, 173-foot long 5-foot wide concrete sidewalk, ADA ramps, two concrete bus pads, one concrete bus pad with shelter, street and pedestrian signal improvements at the crosswalk at Conwell Drive intersection of Little River Turnpike, storm sewer main and structure improvements along Little River Turnpike, a 210-foot retaining wall with sections requiring soldier piles, and signage and markings. Eastbound The scope of work for Eastbound includes but is not limited to a 1,629-foot long variable width of asphalt and concrete combination walkway, ADA ramps, two concrete bus pads with shelters, street and pedestrian signal improvements at the intersection of Little River Turnpike and Evergreen/Hillbrook, storm sewer main and structure improvements along Little River Turnpike, replacement of approximately 884 feet of water main (including 812 feet of 30",36 feet of 8",36 feet of 6" pipes), water facilities (30" diameter temporary line stop), a 259-foot retaining wall with sections requiring soldier piles, and signage and markings. The anticipated date for the Construction Authorization is Summer 2025 and the Substantial Completion date is estimated to be Winter 2026/2027. These are estimated dates and are subject to change. Ability to obtain Performance and Payment Bonds in the amounts required for the individual projects All questions concerning this Pre-qualification Application procedure shall be submitted in writing to DPWESCAPUDCDTransportationInquiry@fairfaxcounty.gov and to be given consideration must be received at least seven (7) calendar days prior to the deadline for submittal of the Prequalification Application *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The construction cost for combined projects is estimated to be between $7 million to $8 million. The Board of Supervisors of Fairfax County, Virginia reserves the right to reject any and all Applications, and to waive informalities and irregularities in the Pre-qualification Application procedure.
