Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Warrenton, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The major work elements and Contractor's responsibilities expected for the Haiti Street Sidewalk and WARF ADA Improvements shall include, but are not limited to: 1. Contractor shall submit all materials for review prior to ordering. 2. Work on Haiti Street and at the WARF shall be completed by June 30, 2025. 3. Access: o Access to the main entrance of the WARF shall always be maintained. o Haiti Street access shall remain open during construction. 4. This is a unit price bid with lump sum elements. The Town has estimated all quantities on this bid as accurately as possible, however, all quantities given are estimates and should be treated as such. 5. Contractor shall submit a maintenance of traffic plan and work zone certifications to the Town's Project Coordinator for approval prior to any street closures. 6. Contractor shall be responsible for keeping the roadways and sidewalks adjacent to the work area clean and free of debris. 7. All sidewalks shall have four inches (4") of subbase (21-A) under the proposed sidewalk and the subbase material shall be included in the sidewalk bid item. 8. Please note: Item #10 on EXHIBIT A - Haiti Street Sidewalk Bid Sheet is merely optional and subject to available funding and shall not factor into Contractor's total bid provided. The Town of Warrenton ("Town") is accepting bids from qualified, Class A contractors to install concrete curb and sidewalk on Haiti Street and ADA improvements at the Warrenton Aquatic and Recreation Facility ("WARF"). The construction scope of work includes, but is not limited to, removing existing sidewalks, installation of handrails, modifying existing drop inlet tops and asphalt pavement, and all measures required for the maintenance of traffic during construction. The Town reserves the right to inspect all operations and to withhold payment for any work not performed in accordance with the specifications. These corrections shall be at no cost to the Town. Contractor shall correct deficiencies within 24 hours of notice by telephone or writing. Failure to do so shall be cause for withholding of payment for that work. Bid Bond: All bids shall be accompanied by a five percent (5%) bid bond for the total amount of base bid. Performance and Payment Bonds: Performance and Payment Bond with a value of 100% of the contract amount for all contracts greater than $100,000 will be required of the successful Bidder prior to commencing work. Acceptance of Work: No project will be considered complete until it is approved and accepted by the Town's Project Coordinator or his designee. In the event the Town Manager chooses to reject all bids, the Town will re-advertise. Unless all bids are rejected, the Town reserves the right granted by Section 2.2-4318 of the Code of Virginia to negotiate with the lowest responsive, responsible bidder to obtain a contract price within the funds available to the Town whenever such low bid exceeds the Town's available funds. For the purpose of determining when such negotiations may take place, the term "available funds" shall mean those funds which were budgeted by the Town for this contract prior to the issuance of the written Invitation for Bid. Negotiations with the low bidder may include both modifications of the bid price and the Scope of Work/Specifications to be performed. The Town shall initiate such negotiations by written notice to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder that its bid exceeds the available funds and that the Town wishes to negotiate a lower contract price. The time, place, and manner of negotiating shall be agreed to by the Town and the lowest responsive, responsible bidder.
