Scope of Work Summary. The scope of work for this Project includes the furnishing and installing of one catch basin, approximately 14 linear feet of 15" Class V Reinforced Concrete (RCP), one flared culvert end, rip rap splash pad, pavement restoration, control of erosion and sediment transport measures and incidental related work on Mason Avenue near the intersection of Chase Parkway in Waterbury, CT. The terms and conditions of the City of Waterbury Inland Wetlands and Watercourses (IWWC) permit (attached) apply. It is anticipated that the Successful Proposer shall reach Substantial Completion of the Work on or before November 15, 2024 and shall reach Final Completion of all Work and Services required by this RFP on or before December 31, 2024. The Proposer agrees that the proposal will remain valid for a period of One Hundred Twenty (120) consecutive calendar days after the closing date for the proposal submission and may be extended beyond that time by mutual agreement The Proposer to whom a contract is offered, must furnish to the City, if that contract has a total cost greater than Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00), a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Payment Bond each with a surety company acceptable to the City and in a form acceptable to the City. The City reserves the right to award in part, to reject any and all Proposals in whole or in part for misrepresentation or if the Proposer is in default of any prior City contract, or if the Proposal impermissibly limits or modifies any of the terms and conditions and/or specifications of the RFP. The City also reserves the right to waive technical defects, irregularities and omissions if, in its judgment, the best interest of the City will be served.
