The proposed improvement consists of the construction of a 0.68milelong, 10' wide shared use path comprised of hot mix asphalt pavement on aggregate base with earth shoulders, earthwork, a pedestrian tunnel (box culvert) under Liberty Road, miscellaneous drainage items, pavement markings, and other related work in accordance with the contract documents. Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as found by the County or the Department of Labor, or determined by the Court on review, shall be paid to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing work under this contract. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond or cashier's check as required in the bid documents. No Bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the actual date of opening thereof. Location - The proposed shared-use path is located between Union Hill Road and St. Clair Road in Fairview Heights, Illinois. This work shall consist of furnishing all labor, equipment and materials necessary to construct a shareduse path along the Caseyville Township right-of-way between Union Hill Road and St. Clair Road. The path will generally be at-grade and will require a new tunnel (box-culvert) to pass under Liberty Road. Specific items of work include: pre-cast box culvert, earthwork, pipe culverts, aggregate base, HMA surface, PCC Pavement, PCC Driveways, lighting, and all other ancillary work as detailed in the plans and specifications.
