The Kent County Community Action Department facilitates residential housing repairs and upgrades to occupied homes and is seeking organizations authorized to do business in Michigan to perform contractor services for general home-related repairs. Projects may include one or multiple home-related repairs at individual private residences throughout Kent County. Organizations who respond and meet the requirements of this Request for Qualifications will be added to the Kent County Community Action Department FY2025 (October 2024 to September 2025) Pre-Qualified Contractor List. Organizations included on the Pre-Qualified Contractor List will be contacted for a project quote as locations are identified. To promote equitable business opportunities, Kent County will rotate among pre-qualified contractors when seeking a quote for a project. The PreQualified Contractor List may also be provided to individual residential property owners seeking to
identify contractors eligible to participate in Kent County funded projects. Participating contractors must be lawfully registered and/or licensed, as applicable, to work within the State of Michigan. Contractors engaged to complete project work are responsible for obtaining necessary work permits and clearances, as needed, and including those costs as appropriate within their project specific quote. Kent County will award and contract for the goods and services in this Solicitaon in an efficient and mely manner. In no event will noficaon of award be more than 45 days from the date of submission. Provide 3 references of current/past customers who can verify the quality of products and/or services of similar size and scope your company provides. References may not include any current/past Kent County employees. Kent County reserves the right to determine the response format or not respond, at its sole discreon. Inquiries Deadline Date & Time (local) 9/13/2024, 2 PM Kent County is not liable for cost incurred prior to award. A submission shall constitute an irrevocable offer for a period of 45 days from the due date/me. In the event the notification of award is not made within 45 days from the due date/me, the Respondent may withdraw or provide a writen extension of their submission.
