Demolition, site work, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Lincoln, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for the construction of a municipal facility; for the renovation of a 19,000-square-foot, three-story above grade municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

This project encompasses the renovation of the entire first floor, selective portions of the basement, demolition, and relocation of second-floor restrooms, along with the addition of exterior ramps, stairs, and a replacement of a pedestrian bridge to the existing building. The renovation area spans approximately 12,700 SF on the first floor, 4,400 SF on the lower level, and 1,900 SF on the second floor. Key aspects of the project include new office construction, casework, upgraded finishes, new restrooms, enhanced lighting, updated power systems, improved building entrance access, and revised mechanical systems and distribution to support the new design. The department does plan to remain occupied in the portions of the building not within the project scope area during construction activities. Each Bidder must submit with the bid a certified or cashiers' check or a bid bond on AIA form A310 in an amount equal to five (5%) of the bid. The character and amount of security must be submitted by the Contractor for the performance of the Contract is stated in the proposed contract documents. Bidders may not withdraw their bids for a period of at least sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of the bids. The State of Nebraska, Department of Transportation reserves the right to reject any or all bids and re-advertise for Bids; reserves the right to waive informalities and irregularities and to make awards on bids which furnish the materials and construction that will in their opinion serve the best interests of the State.
