Knights Key Marathon Transmission Main Replacement The FKAA, without notice to the Sureties and without invalidating the Contract, may order changes in the work within the general scope of the Contract by altering, adding to, or deducting from the work, the Contract being adjusted accordingly. All such work shall be executed under the conditions of the original Contract,
except as specifically adjusted at the time of ordering such change. In giving instructions, the FKAA may order minor changes in the work not involving extra cost and not inconsistent with the purposes of the project, but otherwise, except in an emergency endangering life or property, additions or deductions from the work shall be performed only in pursuance of an approved Change Order signed by the FKAA. If the work is reduced by alterations, such actions shall not constitute a claim for damages of any kind including any claim based on loss of anticipated profits, and the Contractors sole and exclusive remedy shall be to seek an adjustment of unit prices to the extent permitted by Article 8.2, UNIT PRICES of these General Conditions. The proposed project generally consists of installation of approximately 200 LF of a 2-inch diameter and 2400 LF of a 36-inch Diameter HDPE water main (both via directional drilling), approximately 700 LF of a 30-inch diameter steel water main via open-cut, 40 LF of a 6-inch diameter PVC water main and 30 LF of a 4-inch diameter PVC water main via open cut. All construction includes all valves, fittings, air release valves, maintenance of traffic (MOT) and restoration activities. The project also includes connection to existing mains and master taps.
