The scope of this Request for Proposals involves arborist services, including but not limited to assessment, and trimming and removal of trees and stumps throughout the publicly controlled areas of the Village of Dobbs Ferry (e.g. streets, parks and facilities). Any questions regarding the specifications shall be directed to the Department of Public Works, Senior Office Assistant, Jennifer Dorman at (914) 231-8507 or email jdorman@dobbsferry.com. Proposals shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope, bearing the name and address of the Bidder, addressed to the Village of Dobbs Ferry, Village Hall, 112 Main Street, Dobbs Ferry, New York 10522, and endorsed "Bid for Arborist Services, Tree Removal, Pruning and Stump Grinding". The Village of Dobbs Ferry reserves the right to reject any and all proposals , to waive any informality in any response, and to award any contract to other than the lowest bidder if deemed in the best interest if the Village to do so. The successful bidder will be required to provide insurance to the Village which names the Village additionally insured and indemnifies and holds the Village harmless of any claims under the terms set forth in the Request for Proposal. Any contract awarded as a result of this Request for Proposals shall be for a term of seven months (November 1, 2024 - May 31, 2025) with the Village's option to renew for one (1) year (June 1, 2025 - May 31, 2026) upon notice to and acknowledged by the contractor in writing.
