Renovation of a municipal facility in Allegan, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Contractor shall secure, coordinate and pay for any necessary permits and inspections. Contractor shall remove all debris and trash generated in performing the work under this Agreement from the site. Disposal of these materials, is the Contractor's responsibility and must be done in a manner consistent with all applicable Local, State and Federal laws. Contractor shall not use County dumpsters for disposal. Existing facilities, including but not limited to grounds, structures, vehicles, utilities, landscaping, fixtures, furnishings, equipment and surfaces and building systems in the vicinity of Contractor's work shall be protected by Contractor. Any damage to existing facilities shall be reported to the County on the day such damage occurs. Contractor shall promptly repair damage with like materials when ordered to do so by the County at Contractor's expense. All repairs of damage to existing facilities shall be made to the satisfaction of the County. Failure to repair damage shall be just cause for withholding payment for work, which becomes due. Any questions asked by any contractor during an optional site visit, for which answers aren't clearly stated within these RFP documents, will be recorded along with the County's response and will be posted to the County's bidding website per Section 4.4 Contractor shall replace an existing Cummins 70 kW natural gas powered generator which has reached the end of its reliable service life with an equivalent new Generac, Cummins, Kohler or approved equal generator. The generator to be replaced is located at the Allegan County Transportation Building, 750 Airway Drive, Allegan, MI 49010. All work is to be scheduled at least five (5) business days in advance and coordinated through: Carl Chapman Director of Facilities Management (269) 673-0208 cchapman@allegancounty.org Question Deadline 09/11/2024 at 3:00 PM ET Patti Wartella - Project Management Specialist Allegan County - County Services Building 3283 122nd Ave Allegan, MI 49010 projects@allegancounty.org Deadline for County's response to questions. 5:00 PM on September 13, 2024 they should bring such questions in writing to the attention of: Kristin VanAtter - Project Management Specialist Allegan County - County Services Building 3283 122nd Ave Allegan, MI 49010 projects@allegancounty.org Contractor shall arrange for work to be done during regular business hours which are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday excluding holidays with the exception of any power shutdown to the building that may be needed during the conversion which must be arranged for in advance and completed after-hours. if work entails any digging, Contractor shall ascertain the location of all existing underground utilities, including site utilities owned by the County and accept total responsibility for shut-off and avoidance of all such utilities during construction. Contractor shall contact MISS DIG, one number utility alert (1-800-482-7171), for location of public utility service lines where digging or deep excavation operations could disturb or sever such lines. Contractor is responsible for and shall pay for all repairs, restoration and damages to utilities resulting from failure to properly fulfill such notification and location requirements. Upon contract award, Contractor shall procure a new Generac, Cummins, Kohler or approved equal brand generator equivalent to the existing one to be replaced.
