The Office of Planning, Design and Construction of the University of Pittsburgh is seeking qualified Contractors to bid on selected packages of work for the renovation of Hillman Library, Phase 4, The Project is a complex and comprehensive scope of work to be executed with care in an occupied building. Moving sequentially down through the building, it is in the final phase of a 4-phase construction project. Currently, the main entrance to the building opens to a double height space and within that space is a two-story white wall which wraps around the core of the building. A wood wall façade for this space is to be installed over the existing wall. This wood feature will include various undulations as well as a lighting aspect. This will be a custom design and construction to be installed on the 1st floor north, south, east and west walls. The estimated value for this Work is between $900,000 $1,200,000. Contractors who wish to be considered for bidding the project must submit a Predetermination of Responsibility Form (PDR) for review and pre-qualification.
