Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Valparaiso, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Greenfield Creek Pond #3 Outfall Replacement Project The project consists of installation of approx. 300 liner feet of 30 RCP storm sewer to replace aging infrastructure. Construction activities will include storm sewer removal and replacement and incidental work such as road, sidewalk fence and landscaping removal and repair. Question Deadline 09/07/2024. Questions are due three (3) days prior to bid opening. There will be no pre-bid meeting for this project; contractors shall familiarize themselves with the field conditions and locations in preparation for their bid. Proposals shall be properly and completely executed on the Bid Form, and must be accompanied by an executed Indiana State Board of Accounts Form 96, confirmation that copies of Addenda (if used) were received, and satisfactory bid security. A certified or cashiers check payable to Valparaiso City Utilities or a bid bond in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the bid amount must accompany each bid. All checks of unsuccessful bidders shall be returned to them by the City upon selection of successful bidder. The successful Bidder will be required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond each in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the Contract amount. Bidders must be experienced in the construction of the type of facilities to be built under the Contract(s) for which a bid is submitted. Pursuant to Indiana Code 22-5-1.7-11, the Contractor entering into a contract with the City of Valparaiso is required to enroll in and verify the work eligibility status of all of its newly hired employees through online. The Contractor is not required to verify the work eligibility status of all its newly hired employees through online no longer exists. Pursuant to Indiana Code 5-22-16.5 the City of Valparaiso may not contract with a person who is engaged in investment activities in Iran. Pursuant to Ordinance 16-2024, the City has adopted certain responsible bidding practices. The Contractor shall provide all required material with its Bid documents and comply with all other provisions. In determining the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Valparaiso City Utilities will consider the Total Base Bid made for each package. Valparaiso City Utilities may also consider all other relevant facts mentioned in the Project Documents or which the City of Valparaiso may legally consider. Valparaiso City Utilities reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding, should the Board deem it to be in the public interest to do so.
