Renovation of a residential development in New City, New York. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
Generator Design. The vendor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner according to scope of work and architectural drawings if supplied. Work is to be completed within 30 days of award, unless modified below. This is a NYS Public Works project and prevailing wages are to be paid. Refer to attached specification for the following scope of work. Site must be cleaned and all materials secured at the end of each work day. Absolutely no scraps, especially fasteners, are to be left unsecured. Upon completion of Generator Design, before removal of equipment and scaffolding, contractor is to schedule a quality control and quality assurance inspection with Plant Superintendent. SCOPE OF WORK includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1. Provide a property survey and propose location of concrete pad for propane. 2. The design shall be done in accordance with current version of the National Electric Code (NEC) and NYS Residential Code. 3. Provide analysis of existing full load of home as per Article 220.87 of the NEC to determine adequate sizing of generator and associated services. 4. Spec Generac generator and transfer switch as per load analysis. 5. Design shall indicate appropriate sizing of electrical lines, and associated piping. 6. Disconnect switch for the generator shall be located outside the house and readily accessible. 7. Design shall include tracer line and burial tape for any underground gas and power lines. 8. All conductors must be in conduit Interior conduit shall be EMT, exterior shall be galvanized steel rigid metal conduit. Underground piping will be PVC schedule 40. 9. Generator shall have a cold weather start kit 10. A service outlet in or on the generator must be included in the design. 11. The design must include a one-line electrical diagram and all required gas and conduit piping. 12. The design must be approved by OPWDD's engineer. 13. Any code violations per design will be the designer's financial responsibility for changes
