Hillsborough County intends to recommend a modification of an existing noncompetitive contract (19401,1) with Carl Eric Johnson, Inc., increasing contract amount by $1,500,000.00, from $2,750,000.00 to $4,250,000.00 and to extend the current contract expiration date by three (3) months, from December 31, 2024, to March 31, 2025. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. This modification is required to assist with increasing water operations capacity, to reduce the processing constraints experienced at the Falkenburg Wastewater Treatment facility, and for modifications and repairs necessary to improve reliability of the recently acquired Windemere private franchise utility. This procurement is being made in accordance with the County's Procurement Policy Section 3-208(3)(8) of the County's Procurement Policy as a particular the materials are the subject of a contract modification and the particular items are required to maintain interchangeability and compatibility as a part of an existing integrated system, and the items are only reasonably available from one (1) source, therefore it would not be practical to engage another vendor. The County reserves the right to extend the time period further, adjust the scope of services in response to changing conditions and updated requirements, and increase the resulting award accordingly. Contractors who believe that they can provide goods and services that are substantially and materially the same as those identified in the attached First Modification Agreement with Carl Eric Johnson, Inc. and Sole Source Letters, must submit clear and convincing information to support a challenge the intended award. Challenges to this notice must be received no later than the Close Date of the Sole Source (SS) Project and must be directed to the primary contact listed above using the "messages" section in Bonfire for this particular procurement.
