Professional Engineering Services - Task Order Basis. Scope of Work Overview: The Department of Finance and Management, Office of Construction Management (hereinafter, "DOFM") is initiating this procurement effort that will result in the award and execution of a contract for small projects completed on a task order basis. The intent of the contract is to provide the Office of Construction Management with continuing, contractual access to resources that are necessary to perform professional engineering services as well as provide technical expertise for DOFM to implement projects for various City of Columbus departments. DOFM anticipates awarding one or two contracts each contract will have an estimated contract amount of $500,000. The term of each contract is one year from the date of issuance of the purchase order, or, until all funds are depleted, with the option for up to three (3) annual renewals. If a project started during the term of the contract and is scheduled to be completed after the term of the contract, the project will be allowed to be completed under the terms and conditions of the Agreement. Scope: As needs arise, DOFM shall present to the ENGINEER a general scope of improvements for a project and the ENGINEER shall respond with a detailed scope of services, schedule, and a fee proposal. After review and approval of the scope, schedule, and fee by DOFM, DOFM shall issue a project specific Notice to Proceed. There will be multiple projects under this contract and the ENGINEER fee for each project shall be based upon the approved scope of services. Sample projects include: o Roof upgrades o Replacing Boilers o HVAC Upgrades or replacements o Security camera upgrades o Facility storm water improvements o Arresting water leaks o Mechanical and/or elevator upgrades o New parking lot o Asphalt or concrete drive replacements The following disciplines shall be included on the team: o Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing/HVAC Engineering o Architects o Structural Engineering o Geotechnical Engineering o Civil Engineering o Environmental Engineering (Hazardous Building Materials and Environmental Site Assessment) o IT/Security o Special Inspections per OBC Chapter 17.
