The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Work will include: removal of existing concrete panels in locations with non-compliant ramps. This typically requires excavation to approximately 18 inches beneath the existing ramp and adjacent sidewalk. A ramp and landing area that meets ADA compliance will then be constructed in this location. In many locations, there are also inlets that will be slightly moved to prevent ponding or obstruction of access to the newly constructed ramp. This will also require slight excavation to attach the new inlet to the storm sewer system. If the proposed ramp replacement is at a signalized intersection or RRFB controlled mid block crossing, then an upgrade or relocation of the pedestrian push button may be needed. This will likely require shallow excavation to connect to the existing electrical conduit. In locations approved for crosswalk closures, work typically involves the placement of barrier. This has little to no ground disturbance. All of the actions outlined in this paragraph are include in the API/ APEthat has been developed for this project. MBE (2.9%), WBE (6.9%), DBE (10%) construction will be completed around 02/27/2026. It is assumed that construction will begin on 06/13/2025.
