Scope of Work All work shall be performed as indicated on plans and specification and include every aspect of work as obvious or implied and necessary to make work complete and fully operational. The general scope of work for this project is as follows: a. The Contractor shall provide all material, labor, and equipment required to perform soil nailed sloped stabilization of the area shown on the Construction Drawing. Engineering drawings/ design calculations shall be submitted to the City for approval prior to construction. See "Technical Specifications" section below for additional information on soil nailing requirements. No sub-surface geotechnical investigation of the project area has been completed. b. Soil Nails shall be designed with a minimum factor of safety equal to 1.5. All questions must be made in writing and emailed to Adam Stout, PE at adam.stout@parkersburgwv.gov Only One Proposal May Be Submitted by Each Respondent Unless There Are Alternate Bid Specifications Included in Tile Proposal. Each bid shall contain the full name and address of every person, firm or corporation interested in the same, and if a corporation, the name and address of the President and Secretary. Each bidder shall require a Certified check, bank draft or acceptable surety bid bond in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid. The Finance Director reserves the right to reject all bids or parts of bids for any one or more supplies or contractual services included in the proposed contract, when the public interest will be served. The work which the Contractor is required to perform under this Contract shall commence at the time stipulated by the City in the notice to proceed to the Contractor and shall be completed within 90 (NINETY) calendar days thereafter.
