Renovation of a fire / police facility in Merrillville, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The Fire Station 74 project includes the demolition of the existing single-story building and the construction of a new single-story building that will support the Town of Merrillville Fire Protection Territory. The new facility will house 2 Apparatus Bays, associated decontamination facilities, hose drying tower, and living and sleeping facilities. Bids for the following trade packages are requested: Bid Package #01 - General Trades Bid Package #02 - Roofing/Metal Panels Bid Package #03 - Interiors Bid Package #04 - Fire Suppression Bid Package #05 - Plumbing Bid Package #06 - HVAC Bid Package #07 - Electrical All trade packages will be awarded, and contracted with the Owner, based on bids received from the prequalified bid package prime bidders. Award of contracts will be in accordance with Indiana Public Bidding laws. All successful prime bidders shall be required to provide 100% Performance and Payment Bonds. All prime bid package bidders must complete and submit a Pre-qualification Form prior to bid submission deadline. Bid Security A Bid Bond in the amount of ten (5) % of the amount of the Bid, must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner and the Construction Manager reserve their rights to accept or reject any bid (or combination of bids) and to waive any irregularities in bidding. All bids may be held for a period not to exceed 60 days before subcontract awards.
