Renovation of a municipal facility in Waukegan, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Each Prospective Contractor, by submitting a Responsive Submission to provide the aforementioned services, signifies their intention and good faith to enter into a contractor agreement with the City of Waukegan should they be selected. The City reserves the right to reject any and all responsive submissions and make an award on that responsive submission which, in its opinion, are most advantageous to the City. Question Deadline 09/16/2024 at 5:00 PM CT Questions regarding the RFP can be sent to Rachel Cantin at rachel.cantin@waukeganIL.gov with the subject line: Public Art Design and Installation (Wall Art) - Artist Name. Through funding provided by the Energy Transition Community Grant, the City of Waukegan is seeking proposalsfrom artiststo design and install wall art in Downtown Waukegan. The goal isto transform these spaces, showcasing the diversity and vibrancy of our community. Applicants must be the artist. Artists may be selected for a different location than applied for and asked to fit their design to the new wall. If an artist is submitting multiple designs, a separate Proposal submission is required for each design. We welcome both traditional wall murals as well as those utilizing more untraditional methods and materialssuch as mosaics, Polytab, vinyl, metal, projections, 3D relief, and more. The budget forthe entire mural program is $160,000
