New boat access areas at Island Lake and Long Lake, including but not limited to construction of concrete boat ramps, sidewalks, security lighting, access roads, parking lots, boat docks, information kiosks, and precast concrete vault toilet structures at each lake. Prequalification. Bidders must be prequalified with CDB; allow 45 days for application processing. Questions, Clarifications, additional manufacturers, etc. must go to A/E by 2 pm September 23, 2024. General Trade: 5% Combined MBE/WBE, 2% VBE/PBE goals. Base Bid: The scope of work provides for new boat access areas at Island Lake (224 acres) and Long Lake (40 acres). Improvements will include, but are not limited to, construction of the following: o Concrete single lane boat ramps including curbing at each location. o Concrete sidewalks to create accessible routes from parking, restroom, and courtesy docks. o Security lighting-solar powered LED. o Access roads and parking lots - paving and marking, including signage. o Courtesy boat docks, including kayak docks at each location. o Prefabricated, three-sided information kiosk at each location. o Long Lake - excavated shelf area is needed at boat ramp and docks to create a transition to a vertical high wall along the shoreline. The excavated shelf area is anticipated to be approximately 80' x 80' x 5' deep. o One (1) two-compartment precast concrete vault toilet at each location.
