The Project includes but is not limited to pavement maintenance of the access taxiways located on the north side of the airfield, along with concrete spall repair and the application of new pavement markings at other locations on the airport. Bids will be received for a single prime contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid security in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds in accordance with the Contract Documents. Bidders must be licensed to perform the appropriate work within the state of Alabama. Bids must remain in effect for 90days after the bid opening date. Within 90 days from the bid date, the Owner may award the contract to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder or reject any or all Bids for the Project. The ST. CLAIR COUNTY AIRPORT AUTHORITY reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive irregularities in the Bids and bidding deemed to be in the best interests of the ST. CLAIRCOUNTY AIRPORT AUTHORITY, and to reject non conforming, non responsive, or conditional bids. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents.
