Demolition, site work and renovation of a civil project in Ardmore, Alabama. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The major scope of work items include: Construction of a new headworks, sequencing batch reactor and post equalization basin, disk filtration, ultra violet disinfection, post aeration, and motor control center, modifications to the existing influent pumping station, demolition of existing tankage, and all associated electrical, piping/valve, and pump work for a complete and operational system. Bid submission details : Envelopes containing bids must be sealed, marked, addressed as follows, and delivered to the Board Chairman, The Water Works and Sewer Board of the Town of Ardmore, Alabama, 26772 Main Street, Ardmore, AL 35739: "Bid for Constructing Ardmore Wastewater Treatment Plant Renovations (Project No. 1195001)," to be opened. The Bidder's Alabama State General Contractor's License Number shall be included on the envelope containing the submitted proposal. It is the intent of this project to make improvements /upgrades to the Ardmore Wastewater Treatment Plant. The work includes the following: 1. Obtain all permits, bonds, and licenses necessary to perform the work including City Business license and necessary City permits. This is a subsidiary obligation of the various contract bid items. 2. Prospective bidders are encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting as indicated in the Invitation for Bids and Instruction to Bidders. 3. The Contractor shall satisfy himself prior to bidding on the project that he has viewed the project site and performed any necessary inspection of the structures and site layout/grading in order to fully determine the work to be performed. The site will be open for inspection during and following the prebid meeting. All requests for additional viewing times shall be coordinated with Wayne Miller, Supervisor, at 256-431-7708 prior to visiting the site. 4. Install, maintain, and remove erosion control, as necessary. The Contractor shall develop an erosion control plan and provide the plan in a submittal. This is a subsidiary obligation of the unit prices bid. 5. Install necessary signage to warn the public of the utility work. 6. Coordinate with the SCADA system integrator to have the SCADA system installed, tested and operational at the appropriate times. 7. Perform the necessary work for the upgrades for a complete and operational system including coordinating all field inspection and testing with equipment manufacturers. 8. The existing Wastewater Treatment plant is a fully operational facility and will remain in operation throughout construction. The Contractor shall coordinate work closely with the treatment plant staff and not interfere with the daily operations and maintenance of the facility. 9. Complete restoration of disturbed areas. All disturbed areas shall be restored to their original condition or as noted on the plans.
