Deadline for Written Inquiries September 16, 2024 The County of Kaua'i, is requesting proposals for the design and construction of the Kealaula Supportive Housing Project - Phase II for the County of Kauai Housing Agency, development Division. The contract awarded through this solicitation will be funded in part by the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERA2) and the remainder being funded by County Housing Development funds. Before any offeror enters into a contract to perform services in excess of $25,000 for any governmental agency, the Offeror must, wherein applicable, comply with the provisions of Section 103-55, HRS, regulating wages and hours and working conditions of employees of contractors supplying services to governmental agencies. Accordingly, Offerors shall complete the wage certificate for service contracts as provided in the County's Schedule "F". All prospective offerors shall have a Hawai'i State Contractor's License Type "A" or "B" PRIOR to submittal of proposals. Offerors interested in accessing and responding to Request for Proposal (RFP) P-0249, assigned by the Division of Purchasing must be registered as a Public Purchase Vendor, Hawaii Region, and Kauai County Agency. Scope Overview: Contractor shall provide detailed, design, construction drawings, material specifications, permits and construction of a minimum of28 multi-family units on the project site. On-site and off-site civil work included but not limited to: fine grading, building foundations, utility tie-ins ofwater, wastewater, and electrical. The contractorwill be required to work with County's hired civil design engineer consultant on the installation ofnew sewer, water and utility improvements planned for the project. The project will also entail extending the sewer line outside of the project site to provide wastewater service to the neighboring DOFAW office. The sewer extension project will include the decommissioning ofDOFAW's existing cesspool, and the installation of a pump station as required by the civil plans. Vertical construction will include all labor materials, equipment and services required to complete at minimum 28 multi-family units with Certificate ofOccupancy issued by the County ofKauai.
