Reference Number 0000361709 Job Location: 24800 Novi Road, Novi MI. A. The Contract, if awarded, will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder, subject to the final approval by the Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner. The Contract will be awarded subject to receipt of funds to finance the project and acquisition of easements, during which time the proposal guarantees of the lowest three responsive, responsible Bidders will be held. B. The party to whom the Contract is awarded will be required to execute the Agreement and obtain the Performance Bond, Labor and Material Bond and Maintenance and Guarantee Bond and shall provide proofs of insurance coverage in accordance with the Contract Documents within ten (10) calendar days of the delivery date of the Notice of Award to the successful Bidder. The necessary Agreement and Bond forms shall accompany the Notice of Award. If the Contractor awarded the project fails to execute the Agreement, submit Performance Bond, Labor and Material Bond and Maintenance and Guarantee Bond and provide proofs of insurance coverage in accordance with the Contract Documents within ten (10) calendar days of the delivery date of the Notice of Award, the Owner may declare the Contractor in default, in which case the Proposal Guarantee accompanying the Proposal will be forfeited to the Owner. Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % A certified or cashier's check or bid bond for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal will be required for each proposal. Owner reserves the right to accept any proposal, to reject any proposal and to waive irregularities in the proposals. A. Construct temporary and permanent access paths and access roads as shown on Drawings. B. Provide sewer bypass system as shown in the Contract Documents. C. Replace existing manhole cone and covers, as needed, to facilitate the lining work. D. Prior to lining, perform placement of chemical grout to stop leaks within the sewer and Engineer directed cementitious grouting to fill void around the sewer. E. Perform lining from Manhole MH-0 to Manhole MH-45 (approximately 16,649 L.F.) The 16,649 feet segment will be broken up into Nine sections for lining and utilizing up to eight temporary access shafts at preapproved locations as shown on the Drawings. F. Obtain necessary ROW permits and perform traffic control measures during construction as identified in the Contract Documents. G. Restore site per the requirements of the Contract and to the satisfaction of the Authorities Having Jurisdiction. H. Refer to Specification Section 00 42 00 "Proposal", for bid items included in the Contract.
