The Buffalo Society of Natural Sciences / Tifft Nature Preserve is proposing trail enhancements to construct a trail focused on providing a fully accessible route to visitors of all ages and abilities. The trail will meet or exceed ADA / universal access design guidelines and US Access Board Outdoor Recreation Access Route (ORAR) best practices. The project generally includes: 1. Earthwork and clearing for new trail routes 2. Concrete pavement and paver-applied stone dust trail segments 3. Wooden boardwalk removal 4. Prefabricated steel-framed boardwalk construction 5. Relocation of a wood shelter 6. Grading and drainage 7. Erosion control 8. Site amenities 9. Planting and landscape improvements 10.
