As of October 18, 2024 project was awarded to Kone Inc., but awarded amount is not available. The State of Utah - Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM) is requesting submittals for the construction of the following project: Elevator Modernization - State Capitol Complex Capitol Preservation Board Salt Lake City, Utah Project Description: Modernize 2 traction elevators in the capitol building and establish a 5 year maintenance agreement covering all 18 elevators and lifts on the capitol site. No others are to be contacted regarding this project. The procurement shall be under the Value Based Selection RFP method. The contractor is responsible for ensuring that delivery to DFCM of all submittals is made by the deadlines established by the Project Schedule. The contractor shall comply with and require all of its subcontractors to comply with the license laws as required by the State of Utah. A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount, made payable to the Division of Facilities Construction and Management on the AIA Document A310 - 2010 Bid Bond form, or equivalent, shall accompany the bid submitted to DFCM via email at dfcm_vbs@utah.gov. The Division of Facilities Construction & Management reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to waive any formality or technicality in any proposal in the interest of the State. poject Description: Modernize two (2) traction elevators in the State Capitol building and establish a maintenance agreement covering eighteen (18) elevators located in 6 buildings located within the capitol complex. The distribution of elevators is: Utah State Capitol Building - 6 traction elevators and 1 ADA chairlift, Senate Building - 3 hydraulic elevators, House Building - 3 hydraulic elevators, Central Plant - 1 hydraulic elevator, DUP Museum - 2 hydraulic elevators and 1 sidewalk lift, White Chapel - 1 residential traction elevator. The modernization contract will be issued upon completion of this Selection and window for completing modernization work will begin on March 10, 2025, after the 2025 general legislative session ends. It is expected to be completed by October 31, 2025. There currently is no maintenance agreement and the new maintenance agreement will begin upon completion of this selection process. The awarded firm will be expected to survey all existing equipment and complete all required maintenance by December 31, 2024. In addition to the two elevators outlined in the TRACTION ELEVATOR MODERNIZATION SPECIFICATION this procurement includes the modernization of up to 10 additional elevators as funding becomes available.
