The work includes pigging and disposal of the wastewater sewage and sludge from the force main system. Immediately following the pigging operations, and prior to starting the lift station, the work by the contractor shall include installation of one new check valve inside an existing manhole adjacent to the lift station pump vault. Finally, the contractor shall replace, with new, the existing AR/AV valve inside the vault location at the intersection of Coffman Road and Hookless Boulevard in Whitewater, Colorado Mesa County reserves the right to accept the proposals or any portion of the proposals by a competent firm, as determined by the statement of qualification and the proposals, which is deemed to be in the best interest of the County. Pipeline Pigging is a maintenance process used in pipeline systems for cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining the pipelines to ensure efficient operation. The purpose of this proposal is to obtain competitive unit prices for all labor, material, and equipment necessary for pigging an existing sanitary sewer force main. The WORK includes pigging and disposal of the wastewater sewage and sludge from the force main system. The sanitary sewer force main, see Project Documents, is approximately 13,625 lineal feet, 8-inch diameter, C900 polyvinylchloride (PVC) pipe, with a static head-pressure of approximately 120 pounds per square-inch (psi) at the vault. Immediately following the pigging operations, and prior to starting the lift station, the WORK by the contractor shall include installation of one (1) new check valve inside an existing manhole adjacent to the lift station pump vault. Finally, the contractor shall replace with new the existing AR/AV valve inside the vault located at the intersection of Coffman Road and Hookless Boulevard, in Whitewater, CO.
