Renovation of a library in Waianae, Hawaii. Working plans call for the renovation of a library.

***As of October 2, 2024. Project has been cancelled. Faulty Specifications in RFP. Department will resolicitate at a later date. Furnish an already built space at Nanakuli Library with sound treatments and production equipment. The project aims to design and build a state-of-the-art soundproof recording and edition studio at the Nanakuli Library. This space will be equipped with cutting-edge audio and video recording and editing technology. The contractor will be responsible for designing and building the space, applying for any building permits and approvals necessary to complete the space, acquiring, cataloging, and installing all necessary equipment, ensuring a central inventory system is established, installing acoustic treatment and production equipment, and providing comprehensive training on use and maintenance for library staff. The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to procure the services of a qualified vendor with experience designing and installing a sound-proof recording space. The scope of work is provided below. The Request for Proposals (RFP) may be cancelled and any or all proposals rejected in whole or in part, without liability to the State, when it is determined to be in the best interest of the State.
