The proposed work consists of concrete removals, aggregate base, concrete pavement replacement, concrete curb and gutter, seeding and mulching, erosion control, and miscellaneous work on Crossfield Glen Road, Glenshire Way, Hampstead Gate, Hunters Run Road, and Kingsbury Row near Jefferson City, Missouri. The Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids and to Waive Informalities Therein, to Determine the Lowest and Best Bid and to Approve the Bond. 1.0 Description. This work shall consist of all grading and excavation work required or necessary for the total completion of the project, except as noted elsewhere. 1.1 Typical earthwork items on this project shall consist of, but not be limited to: - Excavation required for pavement replacement and driveway work. - Excavation of poor soil in the yard areas. - Furnishing and placing top soil in the yard areas. - Excavation and backfill curb and gutter. - Fill areas for proper yard drainage. - Excavating or filing to the limits shown on the plans. - Hauling of waste material off site. This work shall include connecting existing downspout and other drains through and into the proposed curb, curb and gutter or storm sewer facility. Sump pumps shall be connected to an inlet, junction box or stormwater pipe in the storm sewer system. The location of some downspout drains may be shown on the plans, but other drains may exist that are not shown. The Contractor shall be responsible to connect all downspout drains regardless of whether or not they are shown on the plans.
